Maybe just a gypsy….
I love fate!.. well when fate loves me.. otherwise I don’t appreciate it… but you do learn from it.
A couple weeks back my hot water tank blew.. I called my landlord at 6 AM asking him to send a plumber as I have told him it was leaking a week prior. He told me he’d be out and also wanted to inform me with the new development plans happening in our area all the houses on our street but ours would be demolished but ours was too nice and asked if we would like to purchase it.
I cringe at the thought of buying a house. As you are ultimately responsible for it. There is no magic fix-it man who will come free of charge to take the dinky car out of the tub drain because your son wanted to see how far the car could travel. It would be me paying for it! So I told him I’d think about it and get back to him. Now this house is great space wise, location wise not as much as I’d like.. I want land. So, the next day I placed an add on line looking for a new place. I got a response and over the course of meetings and viewings of the home and the owner we have decided to but the home. I’m thrilled but nervous. The thought of never having to move again or not having to move unless I want to.. excites me.. I can’t imagine that control but as I said before it comes with a price.
Anyway.. the place is wonderful. a nice little acreage with 100 year old re-finished barn that a bob-cat couldn’t move, a shop, and the house has been reno’d from top till bottom.
A huge selling feature: The closet in my room is HUGE bigger than any I have had before and I had a HUGE closet in a beach house I had. The kitchen is quite nice. The land is what I love… garden area.. full sun, treed fence.. the barn.. and all the surrounding farms.. PLUS I will be right near the most beautiful Yoga studio I could ever imagine.. (I hear angles singing when I say it.. ahhhhhh).
So we should be done paper work and everything soo enough and the big task of moving and then I will post pictures of my new place … and there will be enough space to get a yurt.. yep a yurt for my dad when he comes to visit.. and it will have a composting toilet!
